With our new plugins sbsrv/sbsrc 4.4.0 we are going to reopen the submissions.
We highly recommend to update the plugin version in all SteamBans.com protected servers and please keep in mind that a server restart is required after installation!
Nonetheless. we will still accept demos which include a sb_status from version 4.3.0 (SBSRV) and 4.3.1 (SBSRC) for a while.
After a long and arduous series of delays and internal testing, we're pleased to announce the release of an updated version of the SteamBans Server Plugin.
Highlights of this release include support for CS:GO, the latest instalment in the Counter-Strike franchise, support for the latest goldsrc updates brought about by the switch to the new content system, and support for changes in the Source 2009 engine used by games such as CS:S and TF2.
Please restart your server after updating the plugin rather than late-loading it, there is also this, and other pertinent information, in the included readme file.
Further information regarding the reopening of submissions will come at a later date.
It has been some time that we have posted any news but we are still alive and kicking here at SteamBans. Right now we are working on a new plugin that fixes a whole bunch of bugs, improves stability and adds support for CS:GO.
It will take a bit more time but we are currently also working on a lot of other things in the background and as soon as we have more information available we will post it here.
Thank you for your support in Steambans over the years!
It's been quite some time but we are still alive here at SteamBans.com
As we get closer to a new version of our plugin with some enhancements, we thought it would be wise to get the plugin ready today for tomorrow's Nuclear Dawn Steam promo day.
Later today we will release the plugin that will work with Nuclear Dawn servers, so we can also be sure to protect that Source engine based game for any possible cheaters to come.
Don't know what Nuclear Dawn is?
Nuclear Dawn is a Source engine based game created by InterWave Studios which is a company setup by some of the 'old' SteamBans crew. The game combines FPS and RTS gameplay into a single game. As a soldier, explore war-torn post-apocalyptic landscapes, modelled on modern cities, and take the fight to your enemies as armoured, assault or stealth infantry, using various weapons across ten distinct load-outs to accomplish your objectives.
The first person shooter action in Nuclear Dawn is hard, fast and unforgiving, with weapons that rely on skill and tactics more than on twitch reflexes and map memorization.
On behalf of the SteamBans.com team we wish you all a great New Year!
We want to thank all donators, partners and affiliates aswell as all other members for their continuous support over the past couple of years and you can all expect more to come from SteamBans.com this year!

Today we are releasing sbsrv 4.2.0 final candidate release along with a "close to" final candidate for sbsrc. This will also lead to HL1 submissions been re-opened.
sbsrv/sbsrc 4.2.0 contains part two of our security fix to increase our protection against any kind of Steam ID faking.
You can download the new plugin version from your "Manage Servers" subpage or use the autoupdate feature. The pluginserver will
perform these updates within the next hourly cycle.
In order to provide as much safety as possible the proof requirements have changed . We will only accept demos
which includes a sb_status generated by the new plugin. sb_status calls which were made on older plugins won't be accepted
anymore for HL1 or HL2 mods.
The newest beta version of sbsrc will also fix some known bugs like a crash when a player got banned. Source TV support should work again.
Sadly there is still a known crash bug when you use the "quit" command, and is currently been looked at by our 'devs' from the bugs found in
4.1.0. Once a fixed is found and plugin compiled this will be released to the community soon after.
If you want to avoid this bug you have to install sbsrc 4.1.0 manually.
Any questions, please post them here or in a separate forum post.
Thank you
we are starting the beta phase for the new HL1 plugin.
Sbsrv 4.2.0 will include new security features to counter steamid faking attempts.
You can download the new files from your Team Subpage.
Submission for HL1 Mods will be reopened soon if we don't get any major problems in the testings.
Important Information:
We will only accept demo with an sb_status created by sbsrv 4.2.0 or higher as soon as the submission are reopened. It's the best way to make a clear cut here and go on for the future.
If you find bugs or if you got questions feel free to message us on IRC Gamesurge or post in our forums.

As you may have noticed we were down for the last 2 days due to our old domain registration ISP being out of business for a couple of weeks already. After a couple of phonecalls with different providers and other companies we have got our domain back so we are once again alive and kicking!
Thank you for your support over the past couple of years everybody and expect more updates soon from your nr.1 anti-cheat team here @ steambans!
due to the update of Counterstrike Source to the Orange box engine the old steambans plugin (sbsrc) for ep1 games doesn't work anymore.
Please use the Source-ep2 files to get the plugin working. You find them in your Manage Server Subpage.
Unfortunately with this engine change old demos won't work anymore. We managed to save the old game files and we will try to find a way to get the old demos running. But there will be no promise that it will work. We will keep you updated as soon as there is a new developement.
A little update for our hl1 community:
We will start the beta testing of the security fixed plugin these days.
To make full use of this site you need to register and be logged in. Once you are a member you can submit details of suspect players or protest if you believe you have been wrongly banned.
