Steambans is basically a comunity, with like minded people who give up free time to evaluate submitted demo's. We have very srict rules and because a player can be banned from multiple servers we have to be sure we are right. Part of this process is the possible success of a protest, as humans we all make mistakes from time to time, and this has been very succesfull in the detection rate and baning of cheats.
When this process is compromised by allowable scripts, updates, or new hacks that circumvent correct detection or confirmation of submitted ID's we need to suspend certain demo's until we are again operating in the knowledge that we are 100% sure and correct in our desicions.
We also understand your frustrations, we all feel the same from the top to the bottom we are all dedicated to do whatever we can to rid the games of cheats.
Our developers are doing what they can to acheive this goal, but will not allow any update to go for general realease until it has been tested to the full.
All I will say is please have patience steambans are doing everything possible to reopen subs and your continued support is always greatly appreciated.
